Marine Terrace Clean-Up Phase 1 Complete

Despite a slow start, the first morning of cleaning and clearing along Marine Terrace on Saturday, 18 Oct 2025, was incredibly productive and the Keep Scottburgh Beautiful team made a strong start in getting this popular beach road looking much better!

After being rained-out the following day (Sunday), the Kelly Gilliver and the team of hardworking staff were back on site again by Tuesday morning and continued with their incredible efforts through the week.

After a week of hard labour, during which tons of rubbish was collected and many, many loads of garden refused removed; the sidewalk along Marine Terrace from the corner of Adam’s Street down to Scottburgh Main Beach is now beautifully cleaned and can be safely used by pedestrians once again!

A big thank you to all community members who participated in this clean-up effort with special thanks to the local residents for providing cool drinks, to Gladiator Security for the bottles of water and Steven from Riverbend for the use of his truck to remove refuse.

We look forward to beginning work on Phase 2 of this Clean-Up initiative and hope to have many residents and businesses join us so we can all enjoy a cleaner, greener, more beautiful Scottburgh!
